Visions and value

The school aims to help every student reach their full potential by providing a range of opportunities and a safe and supportive environment to learn in. The school strives to offer a stimulating curriculum with a wide array of subjects, which includes an engaging range of extra-curricular activities.

The school aims to provide a personalised curriculum. While it emphasises the importance of the core subjects of English, maths and science, it also offers modern foreign languages, design technology, history, geography, P.E., art and music. The curriculum also prioritises opportunities to participate in local, national and international trips as well as extra-curricular activities which include textiles, football, basketball and choir.

Ofsted

“Teachers plan work carefully so that it builds on what students can already do. Activities are usually challenging for students of differing abilities, even where the spread of abilities in the class is wide. As a result, students make at least good progress in the very large majority of lessons.”
