We are looking for an outstanding Mathematics teacher to join a successful Mathematics Department and supportive team of staff with the capacity and commitment to raise student achievement even further.
This post can be full time or part time; and would suit either an experienced practitioner or a newly qualified teacher.
Mathematics staff teach across the full age and ability range and are encouraged to be creative and inspiring to meet the needs of all pupils. This reflects the success amongst the Mathematics staff in developing modern positive approaches in their teaching practice.
The Maths team currently consists of eight highly qualified staff (of which one is presently part of the Senior Leadership Team), who together create an extremely positive learning culture based upon high expectations and a huge enthusiasm for the subject! We aim to do this through encouraging the enjoyment of Mathematics, to give all pupils an opportunity to progress and reach their full potential.
We are an Investors in People Gold Award School, which translates that we invest heavily and value the development of all our staff. We have a fabulous staff room with a dedicated staff member to make tea and coffee for our staff at break and lunch times; plentiful staff car parking in two on site car parks; a Café that serves freshly sourced ingredients available for breakfast, break and lunch; individual CPD training budgets for all staff and a friendly, supportive and caring staff team.
We are situated near Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne’s award winning Marina, and not far away from several miles of coastline, The South Downs National Park and 1066 Country. Why not come and join us to teach Mathematics in this beautiful part of Sussex.
For further details about this post or an appointment to visit the School please contact Mrs S Windsor, Head of Personnel, Tel: 01323 465469 Email: SWindsor@bishopbell.co.uk.

About St Catherine's College
We are St Catherine's College. We are a Church of England Academy that has children at the heart of everything we do.
Our smart, well behaved pupils are happy and proud of their school. We are a high achieving school with children who are well prepared for their next steps in life.
We are fixed upon progress for all. Pupils benefit from smaller classes in English and Maths, as well as additional support when they need an extra boost to accelerate their progress. We are blessed with excellent teachers who are happy and stay here. The teachers, the tutors and our expansive pastoral team work with each child to help find their 'missing piece' so that they can reach their God-given potential.
We are different, and what sets us apart is that we are the only Church of England Secondary School / Academy in East Sussex. Parents send their children here because we insist upon high standards and firm boundaries, all underpinned by our Christian foundation.
We are a college that teaches and explores the value of resilience. This resilience is in part why our students are more likely to stay on and succeed in further education than their peers nationally.
We are creative and maintain a broad and varied curriculum with Art, Dance, Drama, Music, Food Technology and Motor Vehicle all featuring in our curriculum as we recognise the value of developing the whole child experience. Beyond a rich mix of Sport, Drama, Dance and Music, we also offer chess, gaming, our Mandarin Academy, host the Pauline Quirk Academy and offer so much more...
We are St Catherine's and it is our mission that every child achieves his/her God-given potential. We aim for every student to rise to challenges, to enjoy learning and to feel a sense of belonging.
