Job overview

Gad’s Hill School, a Co-Educational Independent Day School for pupils aged 3 – 16, is looking to appoint a teacher to join our highly successful Mathematics Department.

This is an opportunity to teach Maths to small and enthusiastic classes in our school, set in beautiful grounds in the former home of Charles Dickens, in the village of Higham just outside Rochester, Kent.

The majority of teaching will be to classes in our Upper School (Key Stages 3 and 4), but may also include some work with Junior pupils (Key Stage 2).

Mathematics is compulsory at GCSE and taught by three specialist teachers. The school currently uses the AQA exam board and regularly achieves outstanding success. The rising ability and aspirations of our Upper School cohorts in recent years have allowed the department to move towards additional qualifications in GCSE Statistics and Further Maths; this is an exciting time to join the team!

As a school, we are highly committed to reflective practices and fostering a supportive and open approach to professional development: for that reason, Early Career Teachers would be most welcome to apply.
