Required for September 2015, a well-qualified, motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics who can work across all Key Stages.
All applicants must be able to teach up to A level, whilst Further Mathematics and STEPS papers would be an advantage, but not essential. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and NQT’s.
For the right person, there is an opportunity to take on the role of KS5 Manager within the Faculty. This role comes with a TLR 2G.
The Mathematics Department at George Abbot are forward thinking and dynamic, achieving outstanding results of 90% A* - C grades in 2014. Students taking up A Level Mathematics in Year 12 is approximately 120 with 40 doing Further Mathematics.
George Abbot School, described as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted became an Academy on 1 July 2011 and is a Teaching School and an International School. The school is positioned on the London side of Guildford, close to the M25.
