Fortis Trust seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified teacher for mathematics and the successful candidate will be employed by the trust to work at Bradfields Academy. As a specialist academy there has been an increase in student numbers across all areas of the academy that cater for students with learning needs, autism and communication difficulties.
In 2023 the academy was seen to continue to be Outstanding by OFSTED. The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain these high standards and drive forward their own unique ideas in helping to develop the provision further.
The academy is an all through provision and whilst there are specialists that teach in the primary and more complex provisions. A good understanding of SEN and the potential barriers to learning and developing mathematics would be an advantage.
Applicants should have a clear understanding of effective teaching, raising and sustaining achievement, and the care and support of complex individuals. They should have a vision and a drive to deliver meaningful and personalised curricula. Both experienced teachers and those just setting out in their careers would be considered.
The Mathematics Department is an established team that is continually looking to develop. Qualifications are taught at a variety of levels from Entry Level to level 2 and 3 qualifications. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to teach at all these levels under the direction of the Subject Lead. Developmental ideas are welcome.

Exam Results
Our examination results continue to show that irrespective of need and diagnosis, all students, when provided with appropriate support and challenge can achieve accreditation.
