The Governors of this popular, oversubscribed school wish to appoint a highly, skilled, motivated and passionate teacher of Mathematics. The successful candidate could be an excellent teacher of Maths in Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6) ideally with the ability to teach in other subject areas of the curriculum e.g. Science or you may be a secondary trained mathematician who would enjoy the challenge of working with the enquiring minds of 9 – 13 year old pupils, or an NQT seeking their first post.

You would be joining a highly skilled and experienced mathematics team. This subject is extremely popular with children at the school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the pastoral care of a form class.

In 2012 Ofsted judged the school “Good”. Visits to the school are welcome by prior arrangement.

Monkseaton Middle School is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and a range of other recruitment checks.

Monkseaton Middle School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, middle secondary school situated in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear. It is a foundation state school supported by The North Tyneside Learning Trust, a group of schools that work in partnership with employers and further education providers to give young people the best foundations possible. 

A smaller than average middle school, Monkseaton Middle School provides 384 places for students between the ages of 9 and 13 when fully subscribed.
