Judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, Yardleys is a heavily oversubscribed 11-16 multi-ethnic converter academy with 920 students on roll. We are proud of our academic record with 57% of students gaining 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths, and 100% of students achieving 5 or more passes A*-G.

The Maths department is a well-established, supportive team which achieves excellent results. In the summer of 2014 69% of students achieved an A*-C in GCSE Maths and 92% of students achieved an A*-C in GCSE Further Maths.

We wish to appoint an ambitious, creative and dynamic Teacher of Maths, willing to contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum. Familiarity with the specification would be an advantage. NQTs are welcome to apply and for such candidates payment from July is available. As well as strengths in planning we are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to use data to inform their teaching.
