Allestree Woodlands School is an extremely successful, oversubscribed 11-18 school, providing high quality education for 1276 students (211 Post-16). The school is situated on the northern edge of Derby City overlooking ‘Green Belt’ areas.
We are looking for a very talented, dynamic and ambitious Maths teacher ideally for a September 2015 start. Through high quality teaching and learning, good communication, consistency and mutual respect, the Mathematics Faculty work collaboratively as a team to raise student expectations and maximise achievement. We foster in students an enthusiasm and passion for our subject, inspiring pupils and instilling a desire to succeed and achieve their full potential and beyond in a supportive environment.
The faculty consists of nine mathematics specialists who have worked together as a highly successful, supportive team for eight years and, whilst there is a wealth of expertise in the department, we constantly look to further improve the quality of teaching and learning. We embrace, evaluate and develop new initiatives and have an embedded ethos of sharing good practice.
