We are seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic graduate to grow and enhance our large and successful PE team and teach a second subject, for which we will provide fully funded CPD where required. Desirable second subjects include KS3 science, KS4 or KS5 psychology and KS4 or KS5 health and social care. This post therefore offers excellent professional growth opportunities to support future career progression.

The PE department at Swanshurst is a successful one, offering a broad curriculum throughout KS3 and 4 and delivering GCSE PE as well as BTEC Performing Arts Dance, in years 9 to 11. The PE department also leads on the whole-school enrichment offer and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Swanshurst students participate in a range of extracurricular PE activities, including residential PGL excursions and a term-time Ski Trip, in collaboration with local schools.

Swanshurst is an ‘Outstanding School’ for girls with over 1900 students on roll aged 11-19 years. We offer excellent support and CPD for staff at all stages of their career. This includes the full range of National Professional Qualifications in school leadership, access to in-school instructional coaching programmes and pathways to senior leadership.
