At the BSN the education we provide is a holistic one which allows us to develop the whole person both as an individual and as a team player within the community. We foster confidence and intellectual curiosity and provide opportunities to develop creative abilities and personal talents. With our international setting we instil, in all our students, open-mindedness, tolerance, integrity and an enjoyment of life.

The successful candidate will be expected to be able to encourage and foster a teaching environment which is built on respect, inspiration and motivation.  You will work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues; set regular and appropriate assessments & give guided feedback using the departmental system; as well as use data to inform planning & to report to parents.

Psychology is a very popular choice in the sixth form  with many students going on to study the discipline at degree level. It is offered at AS and A level as well as on the IBDP.  The department also offers an Enrichment Programme to Years 10 and 11 in order to make Psychology more accessible to those considering opting for it post GCSE.

We place the student learning experience at the heart of all we do and pride ourselves on our commitment to their development and understanding.  Regular assessment and tracking is one of our top priorities and the benefits of this are clearly reflected in our excellent record of results. As an innovative department we make use of modern technology to support the teaching and learning process and encourage students to become independent thinkers and researchers.
