Job overview

We want to continue to appoint teaching staff who are passionate about their subject and who want to make a difference for the students in our care. We require a Teacher of Religious Studies as your main subject (other humanities subject will make up a full timetable). This post is a permanent, full-time, post

The post would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT. ECT statutory induction is provided. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across the Key Stages, including our highly successful sixth form.

For the right candidate there may also be the opportunity to lead on a whole school responsibility within our higher ability programme, Bourne Scholars from September.

The Humanities Department has a wealth of resources and has passionate and outstanding teachers within the team.

Teaching and learning is high on the agenda at The Bourne Academy and staff are actively encouraged to constantly develop, experiment and reflect on their practice.

The Bourne Academy
