Required for September 2015 in this outstanding, very successful 11-16 mixed academy.
This outstanding Academy is inviting applications from ambitious, well qualified and highly motivated candidates to teach across the full ability and age range in a very successful Science Department. Newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are welcome to apply. A full programme of support is available as part of our commitment to the Investors in People National Standard.
This position is targeted at creativity, pedagogical excellence and further raising standards. The Governors are keen to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking teacher to deliver Science to GCSE level.
Results in 2014 included 88% 5+ A* - C, 77% including English & Maths. Science 1 or more A*-C 92%, 2 or more A*-C 80%.
Hodgson Academy has been designated as one of the first wave of National Teaching Schools.
ICT within and across the curriculum is a major focus to improve standards and all teaching staff are issued with a personal laptop on appointment.
