We are a 3-19 all age fully inclusive Academy on an exciting journey to become an outstanding organisation and are very proud that in 2014 we received an SSAT award for our students being in the top fifth of schools nationally when looking at their progress across a broad range of subjects. We are also delighted to be able to offer state-of-the-art facilities in a new £36 million building providing staff with the opportunity to teach in a cutting edge and vibrant environment. Bolton St Catherine’s Academy is located in a £36 million building with innovative spaces and state of the art facilities to support children’s learning. These facilities are amongst the very best in the country and support us in delivering a rich, varied and relevant curriculum and fantastic extra curricular activities outside the classroom. We are co-located with Firwood High School with whom we share some central facilities and to whom we also provide some ancillary services.
Bolton St Catherine’s Academy is an inclusive, purposeful and high achieving educational community for children and young people aged 3 to 19. The Christian values of hope, valuing self and others, responsibility, truth, forgiveness and justice pervade all aspects of Academy life. The care, guidance and support for our children and young people are exceptional. Our specialisms are business and enterprise, leadership and mathematics and we promote life-long learning.
It is an exciting time to be joining us as we work hard to improve and bring in line our KS4 outcomes with those in our primary and 6th form phases which are already considered to be good. We are in the final stages of consultation to join two outstanding schools in the newly formed Bishop Fraser Trust early next year - St James’s C of E High School and Canon Slade School, where there will be opportunities to work collaboratively within the wider MAT community, sharing good practice and building on the much needed improvement work and progress that has been taking place in our secondary phase this year. As a family of Church of England schools we believe we can offer more opportunities to pupils and staff and continue to create an educational environment which celebrates the uniqueness of every child.

Our Secondary and Primary schools are full again this year and not forgetting that in 2016 Ofsted judged our Primary School and Sixth Form as "Good". Our Primary school has also gained the best KS2 results of any school in the BL2 postcode area. We continue to develop the mind set and culture within the Academy so that every member of our community, students and staff, strives hard to make progress and takes immense pride in their effort and work.
