Teacher of Science (Chemistry Main Subject)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well qualified science teacher who is able to offer Chemistry as their main subject. The person appointed will be required to share in teaching a full range of age and ability in science and may be asked to undertake the teaching of A’ Level Chemistry students.

As a department we are committed to giving all students the opportunity make exceptional progress through high quality teaching. The successful candidate will join a dedicated, friendly team presently comprising of seventeen science and computer science teachers.

Science is taught at all levels of the school. In Year 7 and Year 8 the students follow in-house schemes of learning covering the KS3 national curriculum. We are in the process in reviewing all schemes so that students have frequent and purposeful opportunities to learn through enquiry. Students are taught in ability groupings from Year 8 onwards.
