Job overview

0.4 Part Time

We are looking to recruit an exciting teacher to join our Science Department.  Given the short time scale available the application form is all we require.  If you are shortlisted we will ask you to bring a letter to your interview.

We want science to spark the creative imagination that “somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.” – Carl Sagan.  We are looking for a teacher who believes that too, and that therein lies the road to academic excellence for each student.  Nothing less will do.

This is an opportunity to work in a highly motivated, supportive, enthusiastic department that is committed to a collaborative, creative and stimulating approach to teaching and learning.

We have a fundamental desire to challenge children to achieve better and higher.  We don’t talk about a passion for teaching; what counts here is caring enough to actually make a life changing difference to the children of our town.  If this desire resonates with you, apply.

This appointment could possibly attract a re-location package.

Netherhall School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS (CRB) check.

The application pack can be downloaded from our website www.netherhall.cumbria.sch.uk or from Chris Freeland, 01900 813434 Ext.239, or e-mail: head@netherhall.cumbria.sch.uk

Applications should be returned by the end of Wednesday 18th March 2015 with interviews held on Monday 23rd March 2015.

We will notify shortlisted candidates by the afternoon of Wednesday 18th March 2015.
