We are looking for two dynamic and inspirational teachers of Science. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well resourced and rapidly improving department.
Belmont is an exciting, high achieving, very caring school situated on the outskirts of Durham City.
Our recent Ofsted report (Nov 2012) judged the school as “good” with an “excellent capacity for further development”. Students in all year groups make “good progress and achieve well”. Their conduct is described as “impeccable” allowing lessons to proceed with a “superb working atmosphere” with students “eager to learn and do their best”. In 2013 we were the North East Regional winner of the Secondary School of the Year, awarded by the Department for Education and TES. We have recently been awarded the NTEN Silver Award for our excellent CPD practice.
