Values and vision

University Academy Holbeach’s aim is to provide a broad general education and to produce well-behaved, well-balanced, resilient individuals who work hard and respect themselves and those around them.

The secondary school works to achieve these aims through an ethos of hard work, providing structures that enable pupils to achieve and feel safe. Teachers encourage pupils to share one another’s successes. The curriculum is enriched through partnerships with the University of Lincoln and local businesses.

Ofsted report

“Leadership, including from the governing body, is strong and effective. The Principal’s infectious commitment and passion galvanise staff and effectively drive improvement. Despite the challenges of amalgamating two schools, the development of the new academy has been very well managed, often under challenging circumstances. Students make good progress across all year groups and in most subjects, often from low starting points. Achievement in mathematics and in vocational subjects is particularly strong. Students benefit from teaching that is usually good and sometimes outstanding. High quality teaching promotes good achievement and very positive attitudes to learning.”
