The Trustees and Governors of the Academy wish to appoint a Teacher of Science. This is an outstanding opportunity to to work alongside a highly motivated, supportive and well qualified team of teachers committed to giving all young people quality opportunities, in order to achieve the highest possible educational outcomes.

North Liverpool Academy is an over-subscribed, exciting and dynamic inner-city, 11-18 comprehensive Academy with over 1500 students on roll. In recent years the Academy has enjoyed a period of significant drive and aspiration leading to an accelerated, secure and rising trend of student success. This has been achieved through meeting the needs of individual students and a relentless focus on teaching and learning.

The Academy is part of the Northern Schools Trust, along with Liverpool Life Sciences UTC, The Kingsway Academy and The Studio. It is situated in state of the art buildings which provide a bright and motivational learning environment but it is the staff that makes the greatest difference for the students. All schools in the trust share a passion for teaching and learning and are focused on improving their own pedagogy. How are staff supported?

All staff are supported in both their career progression and aspirations, from tailored CPD to coaching and mentoring programmes, and also with their wellbeing.

We have a dedicated wellbeing team and a number of mental health 1st aiders on site who can support and signpost staff to various organisations.

Our enhanced Employee Assistance Programme provides 8 sessions of online or face to face support for counselling and CBT for both you and your family members over 16.

We also have a staff discount and reward scheme offering savings in shopping, cinema and days out.

We like our staff to look after their physical health too and are part of the Liverpool City Council Lifestyles Corporate Membership scheme.
