Queen Ethelburga’s is a forward looking Independent Foundation of four schools with 1750+ students aged between 3 – 18 years.  Boys and girls are recruited from the UK and internationally and many live on campus.  The buildings and grounds are first rate with substantial investment giving purpose built facilities, underpinned by a dedication to high quality teaching and learning.  The school actively promotes the professional development of its staff through induction, CPD and career development opportunities. 

Due to continued growth across the Collegiate we are seeking to appoint additional experienced and enthusiastic teachers to join the Science department.   We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers for classroom teacher positions.  Specialism in Physics, Chemistry or Biology are required, including a full time Biology maternity cover and a part time Biology role (0.75).  Applicants will be outstanding practitioners who have proven experience of successfully delivering their discipline at GCSE and A Level.  Expertise in Level 3 BTEC Science would be an advantage.

New opportunities for experienced teachers to take responsibility for Curriculum Leadership of a Key Stage, or the Coordination of a subject are available within this large department.  These roles give excellent opportunities for staff who wish to gain management experience in preparation for future career progression.
