Rushcliffe School is seeking to appoint an inspiring and dedicated teacher of Science who has the ability to push the boundaries of teaching and learning. We are particularly keen to hear from Physics and Chemistry specialists. We are looking for a teacher to be part of a forward looking team focused on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences for students across the 11-19 age range.

Rushcliffe is a Science Specialist School located in a pleasant, suburban area of Nottingham. It is an extremely high attaining, thriving school of over 1400 students with an impressive and ever growing Sixth Form. Pupils consistently achieve excellent academic results with the science department most recently achieving 98% A*- C at GCSE for double science and 100% A*-C at GCSE for triple science.

The school offers a full induction programme, excellent preparation for the next stage of your career and a rich menu of extra-curricular activities. We offer the opportunity to join our vibrant Science department (top 3% for pupil progress KS2 to KS4 – raiseonline 2013) of 14 staff who are all committed to raising standards and fostering a passion for science within our pupils.

This position is suitable for both NQTs and more experienced teachers.

Rushcliffe Spencer Academy is a highly successful 11-18 comprehensive school located in West Bridgford, Nottingham. Recognised as ‘outstanding’ since 2014, inspectors concluded that “Students receive an excellent education, both academically and in their personal development, preparing them exceptionally well for the next stage of their education or for employment.”

For a number of years Rushcliffe has been one of the highest achieving schools in the region at GCSE and a high percentage of Rushcliffe Sixth Form students move on to study at the most prestigious universities.
