The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated teacher who will join a dynamic and committed department to teach Science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. We are looking for a teacher who can make a significant contribution to this strong and successful department and the post is ideally suited to those looking to develop their teaching the A Level standard.
The Science Department is extremely well resourced, with state of the art facilities and a suite of new laboratories. At Key Stage 4, pupils study Triple and Double Science and the Sciences are extremely popular options in the 6th Form; many pupils go on to study the science related courses at university. As a top performing department within the College and country (our value added is in the top 1% of the country), pupils strive to succeed at the highest levels; last year, 100% of pupils passed Core science, 97% passed Additional Science and 100% achieved A*/A grades in each of the separate sciences.
The successful applicant will be creative, well organised and will actively assist in the further development of Science within the College, contributing to the vibrant programme of extra-curricular support provided to all pupils. The post is suitable for NQTs and fully qualified teachers, with outstanding bespoke training programmes available to all.
