Are you a dynamic and inspirational teacher of science? Do you want to work with highly aspirational students in a diverse multicultural environment? Do you want to lead and develop staff in all aspects of teaching and learning in science?

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Physics teacher to teach KS3-5 classes and to develop life-long learners in science. Our science department is expanding with more and more students choosing our already popular & successful science subjects at A-level and an increased intake in KS3. Working as part of our dynamic science team, you will be able to show the motivation, organisation and commitment required to achieve ambitious targets and exceed expectations both within your faculty and for the Academy as a whole.

Successful candidates must:

  • Be able to teach Physics up to A Level standard
  • Have a good proven track record in raising attainment and accelerating progress
  • Be an excellent teacher with consistently ‘Good’ or 'Outstanding' classroom practice
  • Have high expectations of themselves and others
  • Be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Have excellent subject knowledge
  • Encourage investigative and practical work in science to drive learning
  • Be flexible and a good team player
