This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and able teacher to join our already creative and talented Science department. The post comprises teaching Science throughout the 11-16 age range.
The successful applicant will be involved in teaching Science at all levels in years 7-11. We currently teach a 3 year Key Stage 3 and we teach Core and Additional Science (AQA) as well as Triple Science at GCSE. It is essential that the successful candidate is a strong classroom practitioner and has the ability to raise student achievement and enhance student potential in Science. The successful candidate will also be a Form Tutor and will be expected to be proactive in promoting the religious and spiritual beliefs of the college in their pastoral role.

St Patrick’s is a voluntary aided 11-16 mixed comprehensive school providing high quality Catholic education for the children of Thornaby and Ingleby Barwick, townships within the borough of Stockton-on-Tees. There are presently 565 boys and girls studying in the school.
St Patrick’s is very highly regarded in the community it serves. We have a reputation for securing high standards of behaviour from our students and our care and development of the children makes us a very popular choice for parents. The school is heavily over-subscribed.
We are a community of faith as well as a school and the spiritual life of St Patrick’s is of prime importance.
