Teacher of Science

High Close School is a flourishing residential and day special school catering for up to 85 young people with a complex range of needs. Ofsted has judged education to be ‘Good’ (Jan ’13) and we are now working towards becoming outstanding in 2016. We are seeking an ambitious and inspirational individual who may even be at the beginning of their career to be Teacher of Science with high expectations of learning and behaviour and a belief in the capacity of every child to achieve. This is an opportunity for an NQT or someone with a few years of experience to develop their career; a TLR is available for the right person.

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-motivated teacher who is:

• An excellent classroom practitioner
• Has or is ready for the challenge of Middle Leadership
• Creative in the ways they work with young people and other teachers
• Calm and patient even in difficult situations
• Able to build positive relationships at all levels, wanting to make a difference to the lives of young people.

You will have a sound knowledge and background in Science and creative ways to deliver the new curriculum. This is a real opportunity to lead this important core subject and support colleagues in their teaching of Science.
