In our quest to become exceptional, The De Montfort School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic teacher of Science. This is an exciting opportunity to join our enthusiastic Science Team.

We know that long term success does not come in a straight line and after many years of good results our 2014 Key Stage 4 results were extremely disappointing.  Our staff, students, parents and governors have, however, collectively rallied and in, applying for this post, you will be joining a school at a time of rapid improvement. We are delighted with the excellent rate of progress being made across all year groups. The De Montfort School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational all-through school with sixth form situated in Worcestershire serving students from the age of 10-18. The school, situated in Evesham has approximately 828 students on record. 

Formerly known as The Federation of Evesham High School & Simon de Montfort Middle School and Evesham County Secondary School, The De Montfort School was identified as good by Ofsted in 2011.

Values and vision

The De Montfort School has five core values: “the highest expectations and a genuine sense of pride, developing safe and healthy lifestyles, developing lifelong skills, respect for others and realising potential”. The secondary school’s vision is for all students to achieve to the best of their ability and build their self-belief and confidence in order to thrive, with the motto: “Unlocking your child’s potential”. The school wishes to develop strong partnerships with parents and offers an “open door” policy, along with an active Parent Voice Team. Student’s leadership skills are practiced through an active Student Leadership Scheme and Head and Deputy Boys and Girls. Students are encouraged to get involved with extra-curricular activities to expand their experiences outside the classroom, which range from sports clubs to music lessons. The De Montfort School holds specialism in Maths and Computing. It also holds awards including a National Healthy Schools status, the Artsmark Gold and the Sports Active Mark. It was awarded a Leading Aspect Award for its work with its  federated partner middle school in 2010.
