Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher to cover a maternity leave, to teach  Mathematics across KS3, KS4 and KS5 (A level). This is a temporary, maternity cover role in a well-resourced and a successful department and we need the successful candidate to start at the beginning of the next school year (23rd August 2024).  We offer a supportive school community, wonderful students and a well resourced department. Your written and spoken English must be of an advanced level.


Candidates must have the right to work in Switzerland - an existing work permit or an EU passport  and must have a recognised teaching qualification.


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Experience

  • Teaching qualification and experience of teaching 11 to 18 year olds.
  • An enthusiastic and creative approach to teaching, which inspires pupils and enables learning to be engaging and relevant.
  • Flexibility, a sense of humour, and a willingness to take part in all aspects of school life, including tournaments trips, projects, special events and extracurricular clubs.


Desirable

  • Experience of teaching Maths at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
  • A degree in Maths
  • Good IT skills
  • Knowledge of the GCSE and A-Level Maths qualifications and curriculum
