Maternity Cover – Teacher of Secondary Science

An outstanding and inspirational Science Teacher is required for August – December 2024 (Term 1).

The role will include teaching Key Stage 3 general Science (based on an adapted and contextualised English National Curriculum) and Key Stage 4 Science. We offer a range of qualifications in Key Stage 4 (Year 9-11) including Edexcel Entry Level, Edexcel GCSE Combined Science and IGCSE Double Award Science.

Experience in these courses is advantageous but not essential. Science at Dover Court is thriving and well resourced, with 8 Science labs and three specialist technicians to support teaching and learning. The Science Faculty are committed to creating enriching learning opportunities, including opportunities to develop learning in STEAM through our exclusive Nord Anglia Education collaboration with MIT. 

The successful candidate will be passionate delivering high quality teaching and learning in an inclusive school and committed to making a difference to the lives of the young people in their care. Staff contribute to our pastoral care and well-being programme and to our co-curricular programme, making a full contribution to our vibrant community

Established in 1972, Dover Court International School in Singapore is a leading inclusive international school with British heritage, serving international families, set on a green 12-acre site about 20 minutes from the Singapore CBD. All students are involved in a wide range of co-curricular activities, mainly run by teaching staff. Resulting in a rich and varied co-curricular offer for our students, with our school active and competitive in the local international school sports league across a number of sports. The school has an extensive programme of residential trips starting in Year 3 up to the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Secondary.

We are also members of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and are accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
