We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and inspiring teacher to join our successful faculty from September 2015. Your commitment, hard work and passion for Social Science would be highly valued in a team dedicated to enabling all students to achieve success at all key stages.

This post offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the Social Science faculty in the delivery of a range of subjects including Psychology, Extended Project and Sociology; with an emphasis on PSHE and Health and Social Care. The successful candidate will teach across KS3, 4 and 5. The Social Science Faculty is committed to a collaborative approach and the suitable candidate will consider themselves part of the wider faculty team.

Wath Comprehensive School is a co-educational secondary school located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. It educates more than 1,800 students aged 11-18, 400 of whom attend the sixth form. The school was first established in 1923 and became comprehensive in 1972.

Over the years, Wath Comprehensive School has seen considerable modernisation and expansion, with the most recent building works completed in 2005. It is considerably larger than the average secondary school. The secondary school boasts a number of modern facilities, including a public leisure centre.

Wath Comprehensive School aims to foster a strong sense of community and acceptance among its pupils. Owing to the large number of students it has on roll and the size of its catchment area, the secondary school has a diverse student intake. 

Teachers work hard to ensure that pupils feel safe and self-confident in school. Wath Comprehensive maintains high expectations of its pupils in terms of work and behaviour, and encourages them to develop their emotional and social intelligence alongside their academic ability.
