We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of MFL (Spanish/French) who is keen to join a dedicated and successful department, striving to raise standards through developing outstanding teaching and learning. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding candidate to join a progressive Academy that is committed to high standards and the professional development of all staff.

We are a friendly, happy, vibrant 11-18 Academy which is highly successful, serving a multi-cultural community. The Academy is at an exciting and innovative phase of development as we near completion of a £12.5 million refurbishment.

The Academy was recently judged “Good with Outstanding features” by Ofsted, with our students commended for their “exemplary” behaviour and “highly positive attitudes to learning”. Our Post 16 was judged outstanding and we have also received national recognition from David Laws MP (Minister of State for Schools) who stated that George Salter Academy is in the “top 90 in England showing the greatest sustained improvement in the percentage of pupils achieving 5ACEM”.

George Salter Academy is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in the West Midlands, serving students from the age of 11-19. The secondary school, situated in Sandwell has approximately 1,220 students on record. It is sponsored by the Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT).

George Salter Academy converted to academy status in 2007.
