The Role

At Creators School, we believe that studying Visual & Performing Arts should be thought-provoking and the key to our understanding our artistic & cultural heritage. We believe that by delving into significant artistic and cultural works, students can develop critical thinking, a global perspective, and a deep knowledge and understanding of the intricacies of human society.

We seek a visionary Visual & Performing Arts teacher with an unwavering passion for developing innovative learning through nurturing creative, research and inquiry, skills, knowledge and understanding, and who will inspire and guide our students in artistic learning and growth. You will also be responsible for fostering students’ passion for learning, and creating an engaging and dynamic classroom environment, where students feel empowered to develop their artistic skills, apply them effectively and realise their dreams and aspirations. You will also nurture a spirit of creativity and entrepreneurism to enable our students to be the artistic pioneers of tomorrow.

Key responsibilities

·       Inspiration: Be a charismatic teacher who provides inspirational lessons for students. Inspire students to pursue future creative careers with enthusiasm and confidence.

·       Stellar team: Be part of a team of passionate educators who share your vision, dedication, and commitment to fostering the next generation of artistic and cultural leaders and experts. Contribute to department success, through motivation, proactivity, collaborative teamwork, planning, resourcing and time management.

·       Innovative curriculum: Contribute to developing a comprehensive and unique programme that challenges and engages students, and that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.  

·       Subject Mastery: Bring extensive knowledge and experience in Visual & Performing Arts, including a track record of success in competitive international examinations.

·       Assessment: Allow for diverse ways of demonstrating evidence of learning in order to evaluate and monitor progress and provide constructive feedback and support to students, parents and teachers.

·       Resourcefulness: Use resources effectively to enable students to excel in their learning journey.

·       Care: Provide excellent pastoral care, safeguarding and maintain high expectations of effort and behaviour.

·       Professional Learning: Participate in professional learning and contribute to regular staff training/meetings.

Person Profile and Qualifications

·         Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.

·         Must have an EU passport or already have the right to work in Spain.

·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art & Design, plus either Music or Drama.

·         Valid Teaching Qualification - PGCE/BEd or equivalent, EU-recognised preferred.

·         Strong experience in international schools, with experience of teaching upper primary and middle school Visual & Performing Arts including a track record of success in international artistic events.

·         Strong knowledge of, and experience of nurturing creative, inquiry-based, interdisciplinary, project-based and research skills, and their application in real-world contexts.

·         Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.

·         Accomplished in using technology and digital tools to enhance learning and teaching.

·         Familiarity with current international standards and best practices in Visual & Performing Arts education.

Creators International School

At Creators International School, we are on a mission to build a unique day and boarding school that pioneers science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and entrepreneurship education.
