Are you an experienced Economics, Finance or Business Studies teacher interested in an exciting new challenge? The CISI is seeking an experienced qualified teacher, ideally with experience of the Financial Services sector to join our small busy Education Development team.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in expanding the delivery of CISI qualifications across the UK. Reporting to the current Teaching and Learning Specialist, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of CISI qualifications in centres around the UK, and monitoring and assessing candidates studying towards our qualifications.

In addition you will be managing relationships with key contacts at each centre, and working with stakeholders to develop potential new CISI centres. There will also be opportunities to work and lead on ad-hoc projects aimed at developing the CISI's presence in the education sector.

This role will be based at our City Headquarters and will involve up to three days a week travelling around the UK. Two of these days will be to teach at schools in a set area, likely to be Birmingham and Bristol initially.

You will need to be:

  • an experienced teacher with a proven track record of teaching Economics, Business Studies or Finance in Secondary schools
  • energetic, innovative and enthusiastic
  • flexible as this is a varied role and you may be teaching students outside of the core school hours
  • well-organised with the ability to co-ordinate and deliver projects on time and to budget
  • an excellent communicator with the personal and professional skills to engage, support and motivate students and teachers, and build successful  relationships both internally and externally
  • able to demonstrate excellent office IT skills e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint

The following would be an advantage, but is not essential:

  • Experience of the financial services sector
  • Development work e.g. examiner work, designing courses or developing projects in school

The offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory full screening including a DBS and credit check.
