Teaching & Learning Support Assistant

Fixed Term - Contract is subject to allocation of SEN funding 

25 hours per week, Term Time only (38 weeks pro rata to weeks and hours worked)

The Head Teacher and Governing Body wish to appoint a committed, flexible, enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join our inclusive and friendly school. You will be required to work as part of a dedicated team alongside teachers in supporting the teaching and learning and individual needs of an allocated pupil.

You will:

• Have a keen interest in developing the diverse needs of this pupil.
• Be experienced at working with children with special educational needs
• Have the desire to want the best for all children and be involved in the full life of the school.
• Have the belief that “every child does matter”.
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be dedicated to continual professional development.

Visits to the school are welcomed. Please contact Mrs Wears, Business Manager at the school to arrange this. The school re-opens for teaching purposes on Wednesday, 2nd September 2015.

The Council is currently undertaking a comprehensive review of employee pay, grading, terms and conditions of employment. It is intended that changes will be implemented after agreement with the trade unions. The terms and conditions and grading of this post may potentially change.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure & Barring Service.
