Temporary for 1 year - Term time only (working 39 weeks)
We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 3, Grade 4 who has experience of supporting children in KS2 and has a track record of helping to raise attainment.
We need someone who understands and values the rewards and challenges of working in an inner city school. You will be expected to show a strong commitment to safeguarding children. Any appointment will be subject to strong references and an enhanced DBS check.
You will be required to have:
- Numeracy / literacy skills (at a level equivalent to NQF Level 2)
- NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or a willingness to work towards
- A strong understanding of the needs of children who may face challenges which impact on their learning
- A high level of commitment to the school and community
- Excellent communication skills to be able to liaise with parent / carers and other agencies
