Teaching Assistant

Hours: 22 hours per week, 38 weeks per annum

A rare opportunity has arisen to join our team of lively and dedicated Teaching Assistants. We are seeking someone who can work in partnership to support and further the learning of children in our school.

This post will suit someone who is enthusiastic, can think on their feet and show initiative. We are looking for someone with a good standard of English and Maths who is able to use a computer and who has excellent communication skills. This post would suit a graduate who is thinking of going into teaching, providing them with excellent experience as well as good professional development. Alternatively, this post would suit someone who has experience of working with children to support their learning.

In the morning, you will be required to support Literacy and Numeracy in Key Stage 1 and in the afternoon, you will be working with children across Key Stage 2 delivering intervention and support.

This is a permanent role and there is the possibility of increased hours or re-grading of the role for the right candidate.

You must have a flexible approach, be adaptable, positive and patient and able to use your own initiative. You will need to demonstrate your ability to work effectively and co-operatively within a highly motivated team but equally have the ability to work independently or under direction of class teachers.
