Job overview

We are a warm, happy school with an enthusiastic and dedicated staff, well-behaved children and a very supportive leadership team. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant for our partner school, Stepney Greencoat Primary School, which is situated close to Canary Wharf in the vibrant, thriving community of Limehouse.

 

We are seeking to appoint a passionate Early Years teaching assistant who has a clear understanding of the early development, a real enthusiasm for creating a positive and enabling learning environment and someone who will develop good relationships with children and parents. You should be a proactive practitioner, full of ideas and great fun to work with. You will be supported by our Early Years’ Phase leader and a senior leadership team.

About St Peter's London Docks CofE Primary School

Our aim is to give every child the opportunity to achieve their full potential through a broad and balanced curriculum that develops their skills, knowledge and positive attitudes. The Government’s National Curriculum provides the basis, but not the limits, for this work.

The friendly, skilled staff at St. Peter’s is a strong feature of the school and work very closely together as an effective team. We currently have 39 members of staff, including 13 teachers, 20 non teaching staff, a caretaker and 5 members of our administration team. We pride ourselves on having strong professional relationships and have a clear understanding of how to provide the best learning opportunities for our children.
