Teaching Assistant Level 3

Ysgol Meidrim requires a Teaching Assistant Level 3 to work within the Foundation Phase of a rural primary school on a one to one and in a small group situation.

Experience of working with children with special needs is desirable.

Interviews will take place at the school on Wednesday 18th March

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this post.

The successful candidates will:

• Have achieved NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education (or equivalent qualification and/or experience) or a willingness to work towards it
• Have experience of working with 3-7 year old children;
• Be fully bilingual in Welsh and English
• Be able to work under the direction of a teacher;
• Have knowledge of the Foundation Phase Curriculum;
• Be committed to continuing their professional development: and
• Show a commitment to the development of bi-lingual learners within schools.
