A fantastic opportunity to join the Inclusion Team at St Julian's School as a Grade 5 Teaching Assistant.
 
St Julian's is a thriving, over-subscribed comprehensive school that has an excellent reputation within the local community as a result of quality teaching, constructive support for students and improving student attainment.  We are a large secondary school with around 1,600 students currently on roll.
The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work on a fixed term contract, initially for one academic year, commencing in September 2015.  You will sit within our Inclusion Team and work with an experienced team that develops learning outside of the classroom.  The wider team consists of the Head of Inclusion, a Learning Coach and two support workers.  However, you will also be involved with other teams which fit into the Inclusion agenda.
 
The Teaching Assistant will provide support, guidance, mentoring and training to individual and groups of learners.  Dependent on the individual needs, the Teaching Assistant will have the responsibility to set and achieve realistic targets.
It is essential that the successful candidate is able to drive a minibus and proof of this will be required at interview.
