Teaching Assistant

15 hours per week

The Governors of this successful First school seek to appoint a temporary Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs from Easter 2015.

The successful applicant should have an empathy with young children and be able to work as part of a team. This post will involve supporting children with personal care needs. Experience of working with children and the ability to communicate effectively with them are essential.

This post is a variable hours contract between 15.0 hours and 26.5 hours, initially for 15 hours per week, term-time only.

This post is a fixed term contract to support pupils with additional needs while initial assessments take place.

Please note that the successful candidate will be employed by the governing body, not Northumberland County Council.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to visit the school prior to interview.
