JUNIOR SCHOOL TEACHING ASSISTANT

Working 7 hours per week, 8.15am – 4.00pm on Wednesdays

Term time only, plus 5 INSET days and 3 days to be worked in the holidays

Actual starting salary £4,100 - £4,526

Required for September 2024

Initially a fixed term contract for one year (possibility for this to be extended)


The successful candidate will have experience of working with children of primary age, in particular an enthusiasm for caring and supporting the youngest children. You will have an understanding of the primary curriculum and the role of the practitioner inside and outside the classroom. You will be flexible, dedicated and have a willingness to make a wider contribution to the life of the school, along with the drive to go above and beyond.

About North London Collegiate School

North London Collegiate School is an independent all-through day school for girls, based in Edgware. Its motto translates from Latin as "in the hope of labour". There are 1,065 aged 4-18 on the school roll.

The school was founded by Frances Mary Buss at the family home in Camden in 1850. The current site was acquired in 1929, and the school was fully relocated in 1940. The main site is a country house built in the eighteenth century. Since 2011, North London Collegiate School has had a franchise school in South Korea.
