The governors of this happy, successful, rural school wish to appoint two teaching assistants to work in our school. We are looking to appoint people who are hardworking, enthusiastic, patient and caring, who can use their initiative and will continue to make learning meaningful and fun for our children.

Although advertised as two posts, due to them being in different classes, it would be possible for one person to carry out both roles. Please specify on your application form which post you are applying for, or if you are applying for both. Both posts are available from Monday 2nd March, or as soon as possible after this date.

Position 1
We require a TA to work in our Year 3 & 4 class for 3 mornings a week – Monday, Tuesday and Friday, from 8:45am until 12:15am. This post will primarily involve supporting children’s learning in maths and English lessons within the classroom.

Position 2
We require an enthusiastic TA to work in our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 class for 5 days per week, from 1:15 until 3:15 each day. This post will involve working with children from different age groups, but especially supporting children in Reception with their learning both indoors and outdoors.

For further information and an application form for this position, please email the headteacher, Cathy Rutherford, at head@heath.shropshire.sch.uk. Alternatively, all of the necessary information and documents you need to apply for these posts can be found on our website at www.lowerheath.com.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

About Lower Heath CofE Primary School

Our school is a rural, Church of England school which provides a nurturing, supportive and stimulating learning environment, and an exciting curriculum linked to our local community and the interests of our children.

Head of School’s Welcome

Welcome to Lower Heath CE Primary School and Nursery.

Our school has a very special and unique character, steeped in history dating back to the late 18th Century and built upon its Christian values of faith, love, respect, thankfulness and fellowship. Our vision is to ensure that our curriculum, which is personalised to the interests of our children and the rural community around us, enables all children to reach their God-given potential and to be the very best they can be. Through carefully constructed learning sequences and key concepts, our children know more and remember more.

Our staff are all dedicated to helping our children to become responsible, compassionate and reflective young people who participate fully in school life, and the life of our wider community.

We are part of the Marches Academy Trust, and as such we firmly believe in the Trust’s vision of ‘achievement through caring.’ Lower Heath has a supportive and nurturing ethos where the children are at the heart of everything we do.  As a result, our children are positive, resilient and confident, and we are all incredibly proud to be part of our school.

Hopefully you will find everything you need to know about our school on this website, but should you need any further information, or you would like to look around our school, please contact us to arrange a visit. We would be very happy to show you around.
