As Team Leader in Electrical Installation, you will teach, co-ordinate and develop a range of Electrical Installation programmes up to Level 3. In addition you will have responsibility for ensuring the internal quality assurance for programmes. Leading delivery teams in curriculum development including the embedding of English and maths into lessons, you will take responsibility for the quality and delivery on both theory and practical elements; ensuring high standard student support and effective student learning.

Supervising the arrangements for the Electrical Installation practical workshops, you must ensure that they comply with Health & Safety standards and meet the requirements of all Electrical Installation programmes.

With excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of current curriculum initiatives and the implications of learning strategies whilst having knowledge of the differing educational and pastoral needs of students. You will have experience of teaching Electrical Installation courses in the Further Education sector and of motivating and guiding individuals or teams towards agreed objectives.

Qualified to Level 3 as a minimum in Electrical Installation, you will hold a Level 4 teaching qualification or be willing to participate in a programme to achieve this within two years of employment with us. In addition to this, you will have achieved TDLB units, D32/3/34 or A1/V1.

The post will include evening and Saturday working.

Carshalton College is a co-educational further education college based in Sutton. It is a non-denominational school.
