Technician (Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering, Art and Photography)

37 hours per week, Term Time plus 5 PD days

The Governing Body of Sacred Heart School are looking to appoint an experienced Technician to support the Design & Technology and Art Departments. Duties will include preparing equipment and teaching areas for practical lessons, maintaining machinery and departmental equipment, and ordering and maintaining stock levels.

We are looking to appoint a talented and committed individual with the qualities, skills and drive necessary to fulfil this key role.

The ideal candidate will have:

• a good all round education including GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
• practical hands-on skills in using and maintaining workshop machinery
• an interest in product design or art
• the ability to relate to young people and adults in the learning environment
• the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of students
