Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful school with bold plans for the future. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to lead the School’s co-curricular and extra-curricular drama programmes, in pursuit of our main priorities of students to be happy and achieve – and in that order.

Lincoln Minster School is a lively and dynamic independent school set right in the heart of the historic city of Lincoln. Facilities are good and opportunities for professional growth are determined by your aspirations and imagination.

Working alongside the Subject Lead for Drama, you will ensure that our drama continues to be a thriving element of the whole school experience, providing a range of exciting and inspiring opportunities for our pupils (both in performance and in the technical elements of theatre).

You will be a dynamic and inspiring drama practitioner who will be able to lead and direct successful plays and productions, as well as heading up the wider co-curricular drama offer. This might include programmes such as LAMDA, and there may also be opportunities for a small amount of drama teaching for the right candidate.

It is envisaged that this will be a part-time and term-time only role, especially based around our lunchtime co-curricular programme (1.15-2.15pm), but we are open to proposals from shortlisted candidates about how they might deliver this role and potentially fit it around other commitments.

The School is part of the United Learning group of schools, the largest and most influential schools group in the UK. We are committed to equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, and provide significant employee benefits.

Please note that we reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applicants for this role.

Formed in 1996 through the merger of three schools, Lincoln Minster School now has around 500 pupils aged 4 to 18. Our priorities are for all of them to be happy and achieve - and in that order.
