Job overview

We are looking for a creative, hard-working and ambitious colleague to join our Maths Team. As the successful candidate you will really enjoy the company of young people, be fully committed to improving student outputs at all levels and will enjoy leading others during a period of change. You will be an excellent teacher, enjoy teaching, have the ability to motivate others, find solutions to problems and be in full sympathy with the aims and objectives of our Academy. You will not be afraid to work hard, will have high expectations of yourself, of the colleagues you lead and of your colleagues within the Maths Team. Equally, your role will be characterised by doing what is best to improve students’ outputs but in a way which both motivates individuals and understands the value of the team collective.

We want you to know that your hard work will pay dividends, both for yourself, the CA and indeed the students we serve. Your hard work will be manifest in an insatiable appetite to contribute in no small measure to the work of the whole Academy and to improving student outputs. You are ambitious because you wish to use your time at All Saints Academy as the springboard for further success – success for you, the Academy and for the students in your care. You believe that ambition, creativity and hard work all combine to enhance your promotion prospects. In short, All Saints is an Academy which expects its teachers to work hard, to show passion, compassion and humility in all aspects of our work and to bring fresh approaches to doing the best for our students. In return, we will support you and your work, will enable you to take risks in the pursuit of improved student outcomes and will fully support you in your own professional development. Whenever a suitable opportunity arises, All Saints fully encourages colleagues to think positively about their own career progression.

At All Saints Academy, it is important to Sponsors, Governors and staff that all children make the best progress possible regardless of their academic starting point. We understand that the best progress is only achieved when teachers know their students well and plan lessons with expertise, ensuring all students become the best they can be.  We are highly ambitious for everyone and fundamentally believe that students should not have ceilings placed on their ability.

We want our students to be happy, confident and secure so that they can make the most of all the opportunities they are given.  We will work to form strong relationships between staff and students, and between students themselves, underpinned by a strong Christian ethos; where everybody matters and each individual is celebrated for all their gifts and talents.

We value our staff and offer a range of support and CPD opportunities, including weekly training sessions for colleagues who are new to the Academy, in addition to a comprehensive new staff induction.

We recognise that staff wish to further their careers and encourage progression, both within the Academy or elsewhere when the time is right for you.

So, if you are enthusiastic, share a passion for teaching and are ready for a challenge, we hope you will consider a position with us at All Saints.
