Trust Director of Maths/Assistant Maths Hub Lead

Join our dynamic and innovative Trust and Maths Hub to make a difference in mathematics education 

We are looking for a passionate and experienced mathematics leader to join our Trust as a Trust Director of Mathematics and Assistant Maths Hub Lead, starting from September 2024. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to work across our five secondary schools and our regional Maths Hub, to ensure high-quality mathematics teaching and learning for all our students and staff. We welcome applications from candidates of all faiths or none. 

As a Trust Director of Mathematics, you will be part of our Trust’s School Improvement Team and work closely with the Heads of Mathematics in each school to oversee and enhance the mathematics provision and outcomes. You will also be part of the leadership team at Archimedes NE Maths Hub, supporting the Maths Hub Lead in delivering and evaluating professional development for mathematics teachers and leaders across County Durham and the Tees Valley. 

We are looking for a candidate who has: 

• An outstanding record of mathematics teaching and leadership 
• A clear vision and strategy for mathematics improvement and innovation 
• A commitment to collaborative and evidence-informed practice 
• A strong understanding of the mathematics curriculum and pedagogy 
• An enthusiasm for developing and sharing mathematics expertise 

This is a unique and rewarding role that combines both strategic and practical aspects of mathematics education. You will have the chance to work with a diverse range of schools and partners, and to contribute to the national and regional development of mathematics education. You will also benefit from the extensive professional learning and support that our Trust offers, through our various DfE accredited programmes and partnerships, such as our SCITT, Behaviour Hub, Research School, Teaching School Hub, Maths Hub, Science Learning Partnership and Computing Hub.

Salary: L13-L17 £63,430-£69,970
