International Residential Tuition in Dubai, UAE

Contract type: Full time.  12 months initially with the possibility of extending.

Role:

Tutor required for a full-time residential role with a British family in Dubai, UAE. The tutor will work with two brothers, 8 and 10 years old. They will teach a full curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts. A rich and challenging curriculum will be created by the tutor, which both develops the students’ interests and guides them towards future International and British educational pathways. The role is immersive, requiring regular and close contact with the family, including accompanying the family on days out and extracurricular activities.

Requirements: Candidates will have an excellent academic record, with a first class degree (or high 2.1) from a leading university, and a high level of competence in all key subjects. They will have demonstrable tutoring and home schooling experience, preferably in international and residential placements. The ideal candidate would have detailed experience of the US curriculum and a good knowledge of the British curriculum. As the tutor will travel with the family, they will require a full driving license and flexibility in working in different locations under different conditions.

Accommodation:

The tutor will be provided with an apartment with private bathroom, in the Marina area of Dubai. Standard holiday entitlement provided, to be taken in accordance with the family’s schedule, with a minimum of one flight home per year, financed by the family.

Hours:

Full time hours, with a 40-hour working week (to include planning and teaching). The tutor will work a regular school day or will work outside of school hours, depending on the role. There will typically be two consecutive days off per week but you will need to offer the family some flexibility.
