The Manchester College is based at many sites across the city: from Moston and Harpurhey in the North to Wythenshawe and West Didsbury in the South, as well as several locations in the city centre. Each site has its own specialist, cutting edge facilities and resources within a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

We currently have an opportunity available for a part-time Tutor, with a focus on Law and Criminal Justice, to join us to teach on the Public Services and Social Justice Foundation Degree and BA top up,

We are currently looking to further diversify and expand this area in the near future; we therefore encourage applicants to apply who would also be interested in the possibility of full time work.

Within the role you will contribute to the development of new courses, undertaking tutorials, either one to one or group tutorial sessions, and assist with recruitment by interviewing, enrolling and inducting students. You must carry out all necessary administration related to the teaching programme and participate in the extra curricular activities of the section. All salaries are subject to job evaluation.

Candidates for this role should hold a relevant academic qualification ideally to degree level or equivalent coupled with a teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards this). Relevant Public Service industry experience would be an advantage. They should have the ability to establish appropriate relationships with adult and mature students within the College. Good administration and IT skills are essential, as is the ability to teach Public Service related curriculum up to level 6.
