Temporary for 11 months in the first instance with an anticipated start date in August 2015

We are looking for an exceptional individual to support the delivery and ensure the quality of our Undergraduate student experience.

The post holder will lead and set the strategic direction of the tutorial and support mechanisms for our Undergraduate students and will have close working relationships with our Undergraduate teaching team and academic staff engaged in Undergraduate teaching.

The post holder will be educated to degree level, ideally in Mathematics or a related subject, or have an equivalent level of professional qualifications and experience in a closely related discipline. Significant experience in a relevant role in higher education, further education or a secondary school with a successful track record of undertaking major academic administrative roles is also required. In addition, the post holder must have proven academic leadership and management skills and a significant profile in teaching and learning, ideally in Mathematics or a related subject, either in an A level or Undergraduate environment.

It will be highly desirable if the successful candidate possesses a clear understanding of Teaching, Learning and Student-related goals and a vision as to how these can be developed for the Department in the wider context of the College goals and an understanding of Quality Assurance issues as related to teaching and learning.
