Are you an inspirational teacher whose delivery of core curriculum subjects motivates pupils to achieve outstanding results?

We seek an exceptional candidate to teach English and Maths at Upper Key Stage 2. This role may suit an NQT or a teacher near the start of his/her career. 

We are a successful, thriving school for 3 -13 year olds with around 300 pupils. Approximately two-thirds of these are in the Prep school. We pride ourselves on the achievement of excellent results within a happy atmosphere where the focus is on each individual child. Our school values ‘Valuing self; valuing others’ encompass our ethos.

About us

Set in beautiful extensive grounds in the village of Hawkhurst in Kent, Marlborough House is a country Prep School for 2 ½ to 13 year old boys and girls with a distinctly family feel; small enough for everyone to be known and cared for whilst still being bold and ambitious for the future. We believe strongly in allowing the children to develop values and character alongside an exciting academic, creative and sporting Curriculum.

Marlborough House School was rated as 'Excellent' in all areas in our 2023 ISI Inspection Report; the highest rating a school can achieve. The Educational Quality Inspection is a rigorous three-day review, assessing both pupils’ achievements and pupils’ personal development.

Our pupils move onto senior schools at either 11 or 13 – there is a proud track record of success to Cranbrook at 11 as well as a range of independent senior schools at 13.
