SRS is an outstanding BSO approved international school that provides a high quality education, meeting the needs of a diverse range of students. We deliver the British National and American Curriculum to an increasing population of 3000 plus students from FS to Year 13, leading to GCSE, IGCSE and AS/A2 qualifications.
We are seeking to appoint Assessment Coordinator for August 2024 who can bring creativity and a range of skills to this growing department which is working towards being a ‘centre of excellence’.
Core responsibilities -
· To provide and implement an overarching plan to ensure that assessment is consistent, rigorous and complies with all KHDA (internal and external) requirements.
· To provide an educational program that meets the educational needs of each student in the teacher’s area of responsibility.
· To embed high quality assessment and tracking systems across all phases and curriculum subjects in the US section;
· Monitor, review and evaluate the impact of these systems to ensure that the highest standards are consistently maintained;
· Ensure that assessment data is accurate, reliable and valid through the design and implementation of efficient and effective moderation and quality assurance processes;
· To provide assessment training, coaching and mentoring for staff as required to further improve their pedagogical practice.
· Raising overall achievement and students’ personal development in the secondary school, specifically focusing on standards, progress over time and behaviour for learning.
